The Allahabad High Court has issued a non-bailable warrant against former Bhadohi MLA Vijay Kumar Mishra and others in the broad daylight murder case of BJP MLA Gorakhnath Pandey's brother Rameshwar Nath Pandey. The next hearing in the matter will be held on December 6. This order has been given by Justice Dr. KJ Thakar and Justice Ajay Tyagi while hearing the government appeal.
Samajwadi Party had contested former MLA Vijay Mishra for the first time in 2001 from the Gyanpur seat. BJP MLA Gorakhnath Pandey's brother Rameshwar Nath Pandey was shot dead in broad daylight on the day of polling. Also, his other brother Triyambak Nath Pandey was injured in this attack. In this, an FIR was lodged at Gopiganj police station against unknown including Vijay Kumar Mishra, Manoj Mishra alias Lala, Gulab Mishra, Manish Mishra, Ashok Shukla, Krishna Mohan Tiwari and Aadhya Tiwari. However, in the results that came after the election, former MLA Mishra had won the Bhadohi seat and put it in the lap of the SP.
In the broad daylight murder case of Rameshwar Nath Pandey, brother of BJP MLA Gorakhnath Pandey, Bhadohi ADJ Court 1 acquitted Vijay Mishra in its verdict on March 28, 2003. Against this, an official appeal was filed in the Allahabad High Court. The court issued a non-bailable warrant for not appearing after the hearing. However, the next hearing in the case will be held on December 6.
Bhadohi ex-MLA Vijay Mishra has about 79 cases registered against him including murder, extortion, death threats, misconduct, property grab, murder of MLA's brother, murder of police constable. Presently he is detained in Agra Jail. However, a few months ago, after the audio of a threatening toll plaza businessman went viral and the relatives complained to the police about the possession of the house and the firm, he went on tightening the noose. When matters became strict, the police arrested the MLA while returning from Madhya Pradesh after visiting Mahakal. Since then he is detained in Agra Jail. After this, a singer from Banaras had filed a rape case against the MLA.
