The tussle between the Trinamool government and the Bengal governor doesn't seem to subside. Trinamool MP Mahua Moitra on Sunday called Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar 'Uncleji'. She said that Dhankhar had appointed his family members and other close relatives at the Raj Bhavan. He was made Officer on Special Duty (OSD).
Mahua has also mentioned some names on Twitter. She wrote – Abhyuday Singh Shekhawat, Akhil Chaudhary, Ruchi Dubey, Prashant Dixit, Kaustav S Walikar and Kishan Dhankhar have been appointed OSD at Raj Bhavan.
Shekhawat is the son of Dhankhar's brother-in-law. Ruchi Dubey and Prashant Dixit are the wife and brother of his former ADC Major Gaurang Dixit. Walikar is the brother-in-law of Dhankhar's current ADC Janardhan Rao and Kishan Dhankhar himself is a close relative of Jagdeep Dhankhar.
When Mahua was asked about this, she said- We have democratic rights to question the Governor. They keep asking questions to the state government continuously. I appeal to them to see their own face in the mirror. He has brought his entire village and family to the Raj Bhavan.
Governor Dhankhar has a constant confrontation with Chief Minister Mamta. Dhankhar expressed his displeasure over the violence in the state after the election results. In Mamta's swearing-in ceremony itself, he had said that the CM should take quick steps to improve the situation.
After this, after the swearing-in of the ministers, he again raised this issue and said that there was no responsibility in the state government to end the violence. Circumstances show that the government also wanted the same. The constitution in Bengal is over. After this, Dhankhar had called Mamta's answer false for not attending PM Modi's meeting recently.
