Voting continues for the first phase of Jharkhand assembly elections. Voting is taking place in the stronghold of Naxalites. In all 13 seats, 27 per cent voting was held till 11 am. Maoists have blown the Kaththokwa bridge in Gagla's Ghaghra amid the vote. Voting is going on in 13 seats in the first phase. Voting is going on at a total of 4892 polling stations, with 3783055 voters deciding the fate of a total of 189 candidates. Polling has started at 7 am, which will be till 3 pm.

Till 11 pm, all 27 seats have polled around 27 percent. 29.33% in Chatra, 30.46% in Gumla, 27.9% in Daltonganj, 21.2% in Lohardaga, 29.51% in Bishunpur, 26.5% in Panki, 26.6% in Hussainabad, 27.2% in Visharapur, 28.2% in Chhatarpur, 22.17% in Manika, Latehar 27%, Bhavnathpur has 30.38% voting.

The first phase of voting in the Jharkhand Assembly is going on today. There is around 27 percent polling till 11 am. Most of the voting was recorded in the extremist-Naxal-affected Manika assembly constituency.

According to the State Election Commission, around 12 per cent polling was recorded here till 9.22 am. Around 14 percent of the voters exercised their franchise in the most Naxal-affected Manika assembly at 9 am.
