The Congress and BJP can announce the names of their candidates for the assembly by-elections going to be held in two seats in Rajasthan today and tomorrow. October 8 is the last date for nominations. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot will go to Vallabhnagar in Udaipur and Dhariyawad in Pratapgarh to file nominations for Congress candidates on October 8.

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot will leave Jaipur by helicopter at 9.15 am on the last day of nomination on October 8. At 11 am, Gehlot will reach Vallabhnagar in Udaipur and address a public meeting in support of the Congress candidate. After this, he will leave from Vallabhnagar at 12.30 pm and will reach Dhariyawad in Pratapgarh at 1 pm. Here too, Gehlot will address a public meeting in support of the Congress candidate. The Chief Minister will take a return flight to Jaipur from Dhariyawad at 2.30 pm and will reach Jaipur at 4.15 pm as per the schedule.
The ticket of Preeti Shaktawat, wife of late Congress MLA Gajendra Singh Shaktawat from Vallabhnagar seat of Udaipur, is believed to be fixed. The wife of the late MLA is seen as the strongest contender for the party. she gets the votes of Sympathy. While Gajendra Singh Shaktawat's elder brother Devendra Singh Shaktawat also has a claim against Preeti. But according to party sources, Preeti's name is almost final.
The ticket of former Congress MLA Nagraj Meena in Dhariyawad of Pratapgarh is said to be almost fixed. Nagraj has been getting tickets in all the assembly elections since 1998 till now, but Nagraj has been able to win the elections only in 1998 and 2008. Whereas he has to face defeat in the elections of 2003, 2013, and 2018. He has consistently lost the last two assembly elections. In such a situation, Pratapgarh MLA Ramlal Meena is trying hard to get his wife Indira Meena a ticket, but Ramlal Meena's in-charge minister Arjun is not being made with Bamania. Second, his wife Indira Meena is the district head. In such a situation, the party would not like to lose this seat.
The ticket of Uday Lal Dangi from Vallabhnagar in BJP is said to be almost final, but the convener of Janata Sena. Randhir Singh Bhinder is continuously raising the demand that if not him. His wife Deependra Kanwar should be given a ticket from here. If BJP does this, they will give support to the BJP candidate from Janata Sena. Otherwise, Bhinder himself is in full preparation to strike a chord with the Janata Sena from here. Leader of Opposition Gulabchand Kataria's equations is not made from Bhinder. There has been a war of words between the two. If the party angers Gulabchand Kataria, then Deependra Kanwar may also become a possibility to contest the election.
The BJP has made up its mind to give the ticket to his son Kanhaiyalal Meena. He is the seat vacated by the departure of its late MLA from Dhariyawad, Gautamlal Meena. Kanhaiyalal Meena is also considered to be the blessing of Vasundhara Raje. Although the choice of Leader of Opposition Gulabchand Kataria is said to be the second contender Khet Singh Meena. By fielding Kanhaiyalal Meena in the election, it is expected that BJP will get the benefit of a sympathetic vote bank. Kanhaiyalal Meena's wife is the head herself.
