On Friday, five vehicles of Kanwariyas were returned from the Shyampur border. 120 vehicles were returned from Narvan, Chidiyapur, Shyampur, Bhagwanpur. These people were coming to Haridwar and did not have RTPCR negative reports. When the vehicle owners were asked to get the test done at the border, they refused. It was said that only the people of Shri Ganga Sabha and the pilgrimage priests would take symbolic worship and bathe.

Police and administration officials will strictly follow the guidelines of the central and state government regarding Covid-19 on 24th July. The festival of Guru Purnima will be celebrated symbolically with the compliance of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
