India's legendary tennis player Leander Paes, who probably played his last ATP tournament at home as Bangalore Open, was honored by former Olympians and players at the KSLTA Stadium on Sunday.

Paes and his Australian partner Matthew Abden, who were playing in the final season in professional tennis, suffered a loss against the Indian pair of Purav Raja and Ramkumar Ramanathan in the men's doubles final on Saturday. The 46-year-old Paes was given a warm farewell before the singles final on Sunday.

Star players of various sports were present during this, including former hockey player Jude Felix, VR Raghunath, Arjun Halappa, former track and field player Ashwini Nachappa etc. Urging the spectators to stand up and greet the former players, Pace said, "You all taught me how passion, commitment and hard work towards sports helps us achieve success."
