ISRO chief K Sivan shared important information on Wednesday, stating that the Chandrayaan 3 project has been approved. He said, 'We are working on this project. Four people have been selected for this. There is a plan to send these four to Russia for training. "He said," We progressed well on Chandrayaan-2, although we could not succeed in landing, the orbiter is still working. It will work for the next seven years and provide data to us. '
Chairman K Sivan at ISRO headquarters in Bangalore said that Chandrayaan-3 will have a lander and a rover but will not have an orbiter. The orbiter was successfully installed in September through the Chandrayaan-2 mission. This scientific data is being sent to the earth. However the rover could not be installed after a hard landing on the lunar surface.
Earlier, Union Minister Jitendra Singh also informed about this. However, he did not give more details about it. He informed that Chandrayaan 3 will be launched at a lower cost than Chandrayaan 2. At the same time, he termed Chandrayaan-2 as 'disappointing'. According to him, this attempt by India to land on the lunar surface has not failed because a lot has been learned from it. So far no country has achieved the destination in the first attempt. He said that Chandrayaan-2 experiences and existing infrastructure will reduce the cost of Chandrayaan-3. However, he refused to give a definite date for this new mission.
