Joaquin Phoenix's Joker, which has become an award season top choice, will be re-released in India on February 14.
Todd Phillips alongside Phoenix turned the narrative of the mentally unstable loner and failed comedian Arthur Fleck into a blockbuster keeping pace with the Marvel movies. It was before released in India on October 2, 2019.
Given the gigantic Oscar buzz around the movie – Joker scored 11 nominations, including Best Actor, Best Film and Director – Warner Bros Pictures will re-release the movie four days after the Oscars ceremony.
The film will be re-released in cities, for example, Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Gurgaon, Noida, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune, Kochi, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Mysore, Ahmedabad, Coimbatore, and others.
The film follows the hero's initial life as Arthur Fleck, who is a trying stand-up comedian struggling to make a decent living and continually ridiculed by society. The film portrays the conditions that drive Fleck into the existence of crime after he neglects to discover his way in Gotham's broken society.
The Warner Bros. venture has become the most highest-grossing R-rated movies ever and has crossed the $ 1 billion mark at the worldwide box office. A follow-up to the film has been estimated. Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood will likewise be re-released in India around the same time.
