Scientist M Vanita was the project director of the Chandrayaan-2 mission. She will no longer be part of the Chandrayaan-3 team. At the same time, Ritu Karidhal, who will lead the mission Chandrayaan-2 team, will also lead the mission. P Veeramutuvel has been appointed in place of M Vanitha on behalf of ISRO headquarters.

The landing of the lander Vikram, sent with India's mission Chandrayaan-2, was not successful. In this mission, M Vanitha's team was responsible for all systems of Chandrayaan-2. There is no official reason given by ISRO about the transfer of M Vanita. Significantly, for Chandrayaan-2, ISRO was highly praised when Ritu Karidhal was appointed as Mission Director and M. Vanita as Project Director.

ISRO transfers M. Vanita

A copy of the order of ISRO which reads, 'M Vanita, brilliant scientist and project director of Chandrayaan-2 is now the payload, data management and space astronomy area (PDMSA) deputy director is appointed. At the same time, P Veeramutuvel is transferred from ISRO headquarters and he is appointed as the project director of Chandrayaan-3.

According to another order, Veeramutuvel will also lead the project management team. Deputy Projector Directors are members of this team. For this mission, ISRO has appointed 29 deputies project directors, who will look at different tasks related to the mission. Some of these landers will also work on the development of some rovers.
