In Maharashtra, the ministries were eventually split in the coalition government of Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress. Shiv Sena has important ministries in this partition. Uddhav Thackeray's party has got Ministries like Home Ministry, PWD, Urban Development, Industry while Congress has been assigned the Ministries of Revenue, Women and Child Welfare, etc. At the same time, NCP has got the Ministry of Rural Development, Water Resources and Finance. About 15 days after the formation of the government, the ministries have been divided.
Shiv Sena's Home Ministry
The important home ministry in the state government has come from the Shiv Sena. Senior party leader Eknath Shinde has been made the Home Minister. Apart from this, he has been made the Minister for Urban Development, Environment, PWD, Tourism and Parliamentary Affairs. Along with Shinde, Subhash Desai of the party has been made the Minister for Industry, Higher and Technical Education, Sports and Youth, Employment.
Ministry of Finance to NCP
Sharad Pawar's Nationalist Congress Party, which has played an important role in the alliance, has been given the Finance Ministry. Senior party leader Jayant Patil has been given the post of Finance Minister. He has also been assigned the Ministry of Housing, Food Supply and Labor. Apart from him, senior leader Chhagan Bhujbal has been made the Minister of Rural Development, Social Justice, Revenue to Congress
At the same time, Congress, with 44 MLAs, has got the Revenue and Women and Child Welfare Ministry. Senior party leader Balasaheb Thorat has received Revenue, Schooling, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries and Nitin Raut has received PWD Tribal Development, Other Backward Classes Development, Women and Child Welfare, Relief and Rehabilitation.
There was a possibility about Ajit Pawar
Let us tell you that earlier there were speculations that Ajit Pawar of NCP, who was appointed Deputy Chief Minister along with Devendra Fadnavis in BJP's three-day government last month, could be made Finance Minister in Uddhav Thackeray-led new government. At the same time, there were reports of NCP's Jayant Patil being made the Home Minister along with the Deputy Chief Minister but he got the Finance Ministry.
As per the provisional agreement, there was speculation that Shiv Sena with 56 MLAs would get 10 portfolios, NCP with 54 MLAs as 7 ministers and one Deputy Chief Minister. It is believed that Congress has 44 MLAs and can be given 6 ministerial posts along with the speaker. A partnership in the portfolio is being decided keeping in mind the political needs and wishes of each party in the alliance.
