In the meeting of Bahujan Samaj Party's Central Executive Committee held on Wednesday, former Chief Minister Mayawati has been elected national president once again. During the national level meeting at BSP office in Lucknow, representatives from all over the country elected Mayawati as the national president.
It was decided in the meeting that the BSP will contest the assembly by-elections in all the 13 seats of Uttar Pradesh. The names of the candidates of the by-election were also stamped. With this, it was decided that the party would contest assembly elections in Delhi, Haryana, Maharashtra and Jharkhand.
Bahujan Samaj Party has announced to contest the by-elections in Uttar Pradesh's 13 assembly seats alone. With this, the party has also announced the names of its candidates contesting all the 13 seats. The decision was taken at the party's central executive meeting on Wednesday. Mayawati was once again unanimously elected the national president in the meeting.
The party met at the state office at Mall Avenue, Lucknow. Senior party leaders, chief zonal incharge and all the in-charges were called from across the country. The by-election was discussed during the meeting and Mayawati decided that the BSP would field its candidates in all 13 seats. There will be no alliance with any party in the by-election.
