NSO Group, the Israeli company that made it, has banned many government agencies from using it amid the uproar over espionage with the help of Pegasus spyware. According to media reports, the company is investigating against some clients and some of them have been temporarily suspended.
America's National Public Radio (NPR) quoted a report as saying that the NSO group has not made it clear which government agencies have imposed this ban and how long this ban will last.
The employee of the company refused to give NPR the names of the government agencies that have been temporarily banned by the NSO. As per the company's policy, it cannot reveal the identity of its customer.
Meanwhile, Israeli Defense Ministry officials raided the Tel Aviv office of NSO, the maker of spy software Pegasus, on Wednesday. However, later the company called it an inspection. At the same time, Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz has also discussed Pegasus with Defense Minister Florence Parle on his visit to France.
In this meeting, the gents said that they were taking the allegations of espionage from Pegasus seriously. It is alleged that the spyware Pegasus of the Israeli company NSO Group was also used to spy on French President Emmanuel Macron.
