Prime Minister Narendra Modi will leave for a three-day visit to Thailand today. During his three-day visit to Thailand, PM Modi will participate in the ASEAN Conference and the RCEP Summit and will attend the conference and related events.
PM Modi will address the Indian community on the first day of his visit to Thailand today at the National Indoor Stadium in Bangkok. During the event, Prime Minister Modi will release a special memento of the 550th birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji and the Thai translation of Tirukkural (Tamil classic).
PM Modi's first day program
PM Modi will reach Bangkok by this evening. He will be addressing the Indian community at the National Indoor Stadium for the first time this evening. The Indian community in Thailand is around 2.5 lakh. During this time, PM Modi will issue a commemorative coin on the occasion of the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev.
Second day Program
During his visit, PM Modi will jointly preside over the 16th India-ASEAN Summit on November 3, with Thailand's Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha. PM Modi arrives at the invitation of the PM of Thailand. Indian Ambassador to Thailand Suchitra Durai said, ASEAN-related summits are an important part of Indian diplomacy. India's special emphasis in PM Modi's visit will be on strengthening our trade and security relations with ASEAN countries and materializing the RCEP agreement. Apart from these two conferences, PM Modi will also attend the Annual East Asia Conference in Thailand.

The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) block consists of 10 ASEAN Group members (Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Laos and Vietnam) and their six FTA partners, including – India, China, Japan , South Korea, Australia and New Zealand.
