After Rani Kamlapati station (old name Habibganj), Gandhinagar station of Jaipur division of Railway North Western Railway (95 percent area of the state) has also been selected to make it world-class. Although earlier plans have been made to develop the Udaipur station on PPP mode, no work has been progressed in this direction.

IRSDC has recently been dissolved

This is because the responsibility of developing it was with the Indian Railway Station Development Corporation (IRSDC), the PSU of the Railways. IRSDC has recently been dissolved. After this, along with the Gandhinagar station, Udaipur railways will also be developed by the construction department of Zonal Railways. The entire project will be supervised by GM Railway, Vijay Sharma, Principal CAO (C) Brijesh Gupta, DRM/Jaipur Narendra, and DRM/Ajmer Naveen Parasuramka. Railways say that this project will be completed by 2023 in any case.

The deadline for completing the construction work at this station has not yet been set. The proposed state-of-the-art building of Gandhinagar and Udaipur stations may also be inaugurated simultaneously. This is because so far no work in this direction in Udaipur has come to the surface of reality. In such a situation, the construction work related to development at both stations will start simultaneously and will be completed simultaneously. Due to this, the inauguration of both stations can also be done simultaneously.
