Miss World 2021 postponed

Organizers have postponed the world-renowned Miss World 2021 contest due to rising cases of coronavirus. This decision was taken because many contestants turned out to be Covid positive in the test. The competition was to be concluded on Thursday at the Colício de Puerto Rico in San Juan but has been postponed for the time being. The organizers have made this announcement by posting on the official Instagram account of Miss World.
The organizers of Miss World gave information about this by posting a post on Instagram. They wrote, 'Miss World 2021 temporarily postpones global broadcast finale in Puerto Rico due to health and safety interest of contestants, staff, crew and general public. The finale will be rescheduled at Puerto Rico Coliseum Jose Miguel Agrelot within the next 90 days. SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico - After meeting with the virologists and medical experts hired to oversee the Miss World 2021 event and discussing with the Puerto Rico Health Department, the decision has been made by the organizers of the event to postpone the globally broadcast finale at the Puerto RicoColiseum Jose Miguel Agrelot to be held within the next 90 days. As of yesterday, additional safety measures were implemented in the best interest of the contestants, production team and spectators, understanding the event increased risks on the stage and in the dressing room. However, after additional positive cases were confirmed this morning after consulting with health officials and experts, the postponement decision was made. The next step according to the medical experts is immediate quarantine, pending observation and further testing according to best practices in situations like this. Once and only when contestants and staff are cleared by health officials and advisors, will contestants and related staff return to their home countries'.

During the organization of the Miss World competition, every effort was being made to keep the contestants away from the havoc of Corona. Despite this, many competitors have fallen prey to it. The organizers are no longer ready to take the risk in view of the growing case of Omicron. Therefore, it has been decided to cancel it for the time being.
After the title of Miss Universe comes to India by Harnaaz Sandhu, now everyone is waiting for the title of Miss World 2021 to come to India. This time it is the 70th Miss World pageant in which contestants from 97 countries are participating. This event was earlier to be held in the year 2020, but it was postponed due to Covid.
The organizers said that the Miss World pageant will be held at the same venue within the next 90 days. The contestants and the concerned employees are being kept in isolation, under surveillance. They will be allowed to return home if cleared by the local health authorities.
The organizers of the Miss World 2021 event have decided to postpone the globally televised closing ceremony after meeting with virologists and medical experts engaged in overseeing the event and in consultation with the Puerto Rico Department of Health.
Mansa Varanasi had earlier won the title of Femina Miss India World 2020. Manasa was born in Hyderabad and is an engineer. Apart from this, she is a Finance Information Exchange Analyst. Manasa is as beautiful as she is sharp-minded. Mansa did her schooling at Global Indian School and did her graduation in Computer Science from Vasavi College of Engineering.
Manasa launched the ‘We Can’ campaign in association with Hyderabad Police through which they work to prevent child sexual abuse in the state. As part of the Beauty with a Purpose round, her project made it to the top 10 at Miss World 2021. Giving information about this on social media herself, Manasa wrote, ‘India, we have done it. We have made it to the top 10 in the beauty with a purpose round of Miss India 2021’.
Earlier, the crown of Miss World came to India in the year 2017. Manushi Chhillar won the title of Miss World in the year 2017. Manushi was the sixth woman to be crowned Miss World.
The Miss World Organization has raised over £250 million to help disabled and disadvantaged children and has franchises in over 100 countries.
Well, now the eyes of the whole of India are on this event and everyone is praying that Manasa should come with these titles in her name.
