Assembly elections are due in Uttar Pradesh next year. In such a situation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath are seen as very active.
Meanwhile, Yogi also celebrated his 49th birthday on Saturday. However, he did not get special congratulations on this day. In fact, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah did not congratulate Yogi through social media. This is also being discussed because, in the midst of the epidemic, Modi had congratulated Uttarakhand Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat by tweeting.
However, barring Modi-Shah, many ministers and BJP leaders have congratulated Yogi on his birthday on social media. These include Devendra Fadnavis, Dr. Raman Singh, Narendra Singh Tomar, Smriti Irani, Kiran Rijiju, and Prakash Javadekar.
BJP sources say that Prime Minister Modi has not posted anything like congratulation for anyone during the second wave of the Corona epidemic. This includes many big leaders of the opposition including senior party leaders, for whom the PM did not post. It also includes the Chief Ministers of Rajasthan, Goa, Kerala, and Haryana. However, in the meantime, Samajwadi Party's national spokesperson IP Singh, while entering the matter, termed this claim as false.
IP Singh exposed a social media post of Modi, in which the PM is seen wishing Uttarakhand Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat on his birthday. With this, IP Singh taunted that Modi, who congratulated Tirath Singh, did not wish Yogi.
In view of next year's assembly and 2024 Lok Sabha elections, there is bound to be a major reshuffle in the UP government, but there was speculation that the BJP may avoid playing bets on Yogi or BJP can remove Yogi. However, BJP's National General Secretary (Organization) BL Santosh on Tuesday itself called such speculations as rumors. BL Santosh and National Vice President and state in-charge Radha Mohan Singh also held a review meeting on the functioning of the UP government for two days. After this, on Tuesday, he had also praised Yogi's work by posting on social media.
On Friday, once again BJP sources told that Yogi will not be removed, but big changes can be made in the cabinet. AK Sharma, a former bureaucrat and considered close to Modi, can be given a big responsibility in the UP government. At the same time, there are speculations that after the visit of BL Santosh, National President JP Nadda and Home Minister Amit Shah may also visit UP.
All decisions of major changes can be taken this month. There are speculations that some new faces of UP will also be given a chance in the expansion of the Union Cabinet which can benefit the party in the 2022 assembly elections. In this, keeping in mind the caste and regionalism, many new people will be included in the cabinet. This decision will be taken by BL Santosh and Radha Mohan after two rounds of meeting with Yogi, senior leaders, ministers, and MLAs.
