One person died in the blast in Lahore, Pakistan on Saturday, 5 people were injured in the blast. According to media reports, the blast took place in the township market area of Lahore. Initial police investigation claims blasts at an electronics shop.

Explosion occurred while filling gas in a refrigerator. The person killed in the accident has been identified as a technician who is repairing the refrigerator. The deceased is said to be 22 years old Hafiz Mahmud. Security forces have evacuated the area and bomb disposal squad has reached the spot. Senior officials are investigating the cause of the blast. A spokesman for Pakistan's Anti-Terrorism Department says the blast occurred in a refrigerator workshop at 7.50 pm local time.

The spokesperson of the Anti-Terrorism Department issued a statement saying, "Initial investigation seems to have caused the compressor compressor explosion. Pieces of the compressor have been recovered. No clue of any explosive has been found so far.
