Successful trial on 17 Patients
The trial although was conducted on a small scale, however, still the results shown have brought a new ray of hope for all those suffering from both the pain of cancer and also the deadly treatment including chemotherapy sessions and surgeries. As reported by the New York Times, the drug — dostarlimab — was administered to 18 rectal cancer patients, the drug to the astonishment of the researchers showed 100 cent efficacy, and all the patients recovered completely. The researchers could not trace the disease from any by physical exam, endoscopy, positron emission tomography (PET) or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans.

Dr Luis A. Diaz Jr. of New York's Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center speaking to the developmenmt said this was 'the first time this has happened in the history of cancer'. Dr Diaz and a team of researchers also published a paper on their findings in the New England Journal of Medicine, describing their phenomenal results.
