A 30-year-old woman has been raped in the Saki-Naka area of Mumbai. The condition of the victim remains critical. The police have so far arrested one accused in this case and some more people are feared to be involved in this. It is also coming to the fore that the victim was subjected to cruelty like Nirbhaya.
According to the latest information, the incident took place around 3 pm. After the gang-rape the woman, the accused put a rod in her private part. The condition of the woman remains critical. The police had recovered the woman in a serious condition on Khairani Road this morning. The woman has been admitted to Rajawadi Hospital. According to the latest information that woman is no more now. She died in the hospital as she was suffering from a lot of pain and injuries.
According to the doctors, there is an injury in the internal parts of the woman. The woman has been operated on, but her condition remains critical. DCP and Additional Police Commissioner have reached Sakinaka Police Station. A case has been registered against the accused under sections 307, 376, 323, and 504 of IPC. The arrested accused has been identified as Mohan Chauhan.
DCP Maheshwar Reddy, who is probing the case, said, "A call was received on the police control number at 3.30 pm, on the call, it was told by a person that a woman is lying unconscious on Khairani Road and lying in a pool of blood. After which a team of Sakinaka police station reached the spot and got the victim admitted to Rajawadi Hospital in Mumbai. At present, the condition of the woman remains critical. The investigation is on in the matter, so that's all we can say for now. We have registered an FIR after the doctor's opinion and after checking the CCTV camera installed at the spot, arrested a person named Mohan Chauhan (45).
