ic team mobilized the evidence by going to the spot. The police have handed over the bodies for post mortem, but due to the late evening, the reasons for the death could not be disclosed. The police have started the investigation.
According to the information, Shubhankar Prasad, resident of Shankpur Colony, Muradabad, Uttar Pradesh, was studying BTech Electrical last year from NIT. On Tuesday night, Shubhankar Prasad (21), in suspected circumstances, did suicide by hanging himself in the hostel number 10 of room number 435-A, on the fan. It is being told that Shubhankar Prasad did not get out of the room on the evening of 22 April.
The door did not open on 23rd April when friends saw by suspicious eyes in the room, Shubhankar was hanging by the fan. The friend of the deceased student Amrit Shah informed the NIT administration. Upon receipt of information, the immediate Chief Warden RP Chauhan, Deputy Chief Warden Arvind Sharma, along with other administrative officials reached the spot and informed the police. Three Gate Chawki police have handed over the dead body to the post mortem on the spot and handed it to the relatives.
According to administrative officials, Shubhankar Prasad had a party with friends on 21st of April, but on April 22 and 23, he did not eat food in the hostel's mess. The NIT administration is also in confusion with the incident.
According to the relatives, Shubhankar Prasad, on April 22, at 9 pm, talked to father Sanjay Prasad on phone. After this, at 12 o'clock, a friend of the NIT had a birthday. The father of the deceased Sanjay Prasad says that Shubhankar will take such a step, there was no such thing. He had talked about Shubhankar, but he had not told anything about any kind of problem.
According to the information, Subhankar Prasad's sixth and seventh summers had re-appeals, after which he became mentally disturbed. But relatives say that he can not take such a step due to re-appeal. Shubhankar kept aware of this to parents.
A board of doctors was set up to post mortem of the dead body, in which RMO Dr. SS Arora, Dr. Surendra Mandhana and Dr. Vimal were involved. The doctors said that the sample has been sent to Madhuban for examination.
Third gate officer-in-charge Mahendra Singh said that the police is investigating this matter seriously. No suicide note was recovered from the hotel's room. The police are questioning the student's friends.
