Noida: The court of Gautam Budh Nagar district has sentenced the father guilty of raping a minor daughter. Public Prosecutor Harish Sisodia said on Wednesday that in June 2018, a person had filed a report in police station-that the father has assaulted and raped his minor sister. According to Sisodia, the person said in his report that the accused is the father of five daughters and was pressurizing his wife to have a son. In the absence of a son, he beat the wife out of the house and kept her daughters at home. Meanwhile, he used to rape his elder daughter. When the victim's younger sister saw all this, the accused locked her in the bed.
Two police stations investigating the case arrested the teenager's father Brahmajit and produced it in court. Sisodia said that after hearing the case, the court convicted the accused father on January 13 and reserved his decision on the sentence. He told that on 21 January, the court sentenced the convicted Brahmajit to life imprisonment and a fine of 45 thousand rupees.
Sisodia said that Sonu, arrested on charges of smuggling marijuana in another case, was convicted by Judge Vineet Chaudhary of the fast track court first and sentenced to five and a half months in jail. He said that Nitin Kumar, who was arrested in another case of selling cannabis, was also sentenced to 10 months imprisonment by a fast track court and a fine of Rs 2,000.
