In North Korea, people have been banned from laughing and being happy. North Korea is making the 10th anniversary of its former leader Kim Jong-il these days. National mourning is being celebrated on the completion of 10 years of the former leader's death. Due to which many types of restrictions have been imposed on the people here for 11 days. Officials of the country have given strict orders to ban people from laughing, expressing happiness and drinking alcohol. Not only this, the police officers are keeping a tight watch on the people to make sure whether the people are unhappy enough or not.

North Korea's brutal dictator Kim Jong-il ruled the country from 1994 to 2011. He died on 17 December 2011 at the age of 69 due to a heart attack. This 10-day mourning day is celebrated every year in North Korea. However, this time on the completion of 10 years of his death, it will be a mourning day of 11 days. According to the reports, after Kim Jong-il, his third and youngest son Kim Jong Un is ruling in North Korea. During the 11 days of mourning on the completion of 10 years, many cannot express their happiness even by laughing or drinking wine.

It is not allowed for men to have long hair. If someone did something other than the 15 types of haircut, then the officials themselves would cut his hair. Women are said to have been asked to copy Kim Jong-un's wife's hairstyle 'classic bob'.
