However, the advocate and former BJP spokesperson have now received support from Geert Wilders, a far-right leader from The Netherlands. Stating the reaction of Islamic Countries as absurd, the Wilders said backed Nupur and said she was telling the truth.
‘Owns no democracy’ In his series of tweets, he further said, “Don’t listen to the hypocrites. Islamic nations have no democracy, no rule of law, no freedom. They persecute minorities and disrespect human rights like no one else.”

Post her comments, she received widespread criticism, BJP too reacted to the row, suspended her from the party, and distanced itself stating Nupur’s view was personal and not that of the party.
