A case of kidnapping and gang rape of a 60-year-old woman and then beheading her with stones has come to light in the Bassi area of the city. After the incident, the miscreants threw the woman's body in the drain in a nude condition. The body of the woman, who went missing late Saturday evening, was recovered on Sunday. After this, a case of murder, kidnapping, rape, and hiding the dead body to destroy evidence was registered at Bassi police station on behalf of the 65-year-old husband, a resident of Banskoh. Police have expressed apprehension that two or more people may be involved in the incident.
According to the information, 60-year-old woman Bassi used to work in a factory making plyboards in the Ricco area. She had left the factory to go home at around 6 pm on Saturday. But she did not reach home till late at night. Then her husband and other relatives interacted with the people working with the woman. But nothing came to light. After this, the woman did not reach home even on Sunday. Then at around 11 in the morning, the woman's husband reached the Bassi police station. A missing report was filed.
Later in the afternoon, the shepherds who had gone to graze the goats in Dhol Ki Dhani in Jhar village of Bassi saw the naked body of the woman lying in a bloody condition in a drain in the forest. Seeing this, the shepherds informed the sarpanch of Jhar, Mohan Meena. After this, Bassi ACP Suresh Sankhla, Thanaprabhari Manoharlal reached the spot after coming to know about the incident. FSL and dog squad teams were also called on the spot.
Based on the evidence found on the spot, the police have expressed the possibility that the woman was abducted and brought to the deserted forest of Jhar village. raped her. After this, the body and face were brutally murdered by crushing the head with stones. Then the dead body was thrown into the drain in a nude condition. Police have raised the possibility that the woman also fought a lot to save herself. But she could not do anything being alone. It is believed that an acquaintance of the woman is involved in the incident. He can be a local resident or a factory worker.
