A horrific road accident took place in Dafi area of ​​Varanasi on Wednesday morning on the day of Chhoti Diwali. A pickup full of laborers overturned near the hospitality hotel on NH-2. Four women in the pickup were killed in the accident. While 19 people have been admitted to the hospital. The people on the pickup were going from Bareilly to Daud Nagar (Aurangabad) in Bihar to celebrate Diwali festival.

A total of 25 people from nine families were on the pickup. All lived in Bareilly for their livelihood. To celebrate Diwali and Chhath festival, they were going to their houses by rented pickup. It is being told that due to the driver having a nap, the pickup overturned after hitting the divider.

As the pickup overturned, the people around and the passersby reached there. The people trapped in the accident pickup were rescued and people informed the police. The police of Lanka police station reached the spot and sent the injured to BHU Trauma Center. Where doctors declared four women dead.

Treatment of 19 injured is going on. Four people are in critical condition. Several children are also among the injured. The death toll is expected to rise. Here, due to the accident, there was a situation of jam on each lane of NH in Dafi.

The police present on the spot started the traffic by removing the accidental pickup with the help of a crane. The families of the victims of the accident have been informed. There is a lot of hustle and bustle at BHU Trauma Center. Many high police officers have reached the hospital.

According to the police, the dead include Lilavati (20 years), Roopa (17 years), Anju (22 years) and Kaushalya (22 years).

At the same time, there are a total of 19 people including children among the injured. The injured have been identified as Sudama, Kiran Devi, Mamta, Pooja, Dulari Devi, Rahul, Satyam, Saloni, Saniksha, Anita, Deepa, Savitri, Ravi, Vinod Prasad, Neelu, Choti, Santosh, Kallu Prasad and residents of Dawood Nagar area of ​​Aurangabad district.
