Information has been given by the White House, the office of the US President regarding the conversation. US President Joe Biden again asked the Russian president on Saturday to remove a gathering of more than 1,00,000 troops on the Ukrainian border, the White House said. Simultaneously, Biden warned Russia that if Russia invades Ukraine, the US and its allies will retaliate strongly and Russia will have to pay a heavy price for this.
According to the information, Biden told Putin that the result of the attack would be "extensive human suffering" and the image of Russia would be tarnished. At the same time, Biden warned Putin that the US will continue to work with Ukraine on diplomacy but that the country is 'equally prepared for other scenarios'.
